!Wolverine HOG Chapter Ride - Million Mile Monday

Update: Scheduled - Wolvering HOG Chapter Ride - MMM

We have scheduled a Wolverine HOG Chapter ride for Monday June 29 to support HOG's Million Mile Monday event.

I am personally inviting all 2nd shifters, DayRiders, Retirees, work at home moms, Shutdown victims, people that can afford a vacation day, people that just want to play hooky from work, to join us on a ride around the thumb area.  We will ride up to Port Austin and then back along the lake to Port Huron.

    The details:
A 247 mile round trip that will return to Wolv H-D about 4pm - currently, this will be a Road Crew escorted ride
Depart From: Bob Evans on M-59 (near to I-94)
    Pre-Ride Brief: 9:15 am
    Kickstands Up: 9:30 am
About a 6 hr ride including rest & lunch stops.

Feel free to join us for part of the trip if you are not able to do the whole thing.  Please arrive with a full tank of gas.

    Hope to see you there!!
    PB

Re: HOG - Million Mile Monday

Taking the day off from work (calling in with HOG (Swine) Flu hahaha) and riding with a friend up to Caseville down through Port Huron and then along the river back down towards Mt. Clemens . . . together the two of us will add over 500 miles to the 5,000,000 million mile Monday HOG target.  I just hope it's a beutiful day to ride (we know everyday is a good day to ride!).  I hope everyone gets a chance to ride on 6-29-2009.  Enjoy and Ride Safe!

Re: !Wolverine HOG Chapter Ride - Million Mile Monday

How often are the gas stops ? We ride an H-D 2001 Sportster XL1200C and have to stop for gas every (approx.) 80-90 miles. (3.4 gallon tank). We're on reserve if we go more than 100 or so miles. Are the bikes grouped by model or tank size so that a sportster is not going to hold up a softtail that has a bigger tank and has to stop for gas less frequentley ? We are thinking of taking the trip with the chapter (we had already planned to go to Caseville on our own a week ago) but we don't want to be the bike that holds up the whole pack.

Usually a ride to caseville would include a stop in Marlette or something similar for gas/stretch the legs.  I wouldn't worry about holding the group up, come out and ride with the rest of the HOG Flu sufferers!

Mike, yes what the Wild Thing said.  We will have stops for rest/gas as required.  We accommodate all models on all of our group rides.  No worries, just come on out for the ride.
