Da Moonlite Rally

The second annual MI State Rally (Escanaba In Da Moonlite) was a screaming success! more than 70 Wolverine Chapter members joined over a  thousand other National H.O.G. members in Escanaba for a Beautiful weekend of riding, fun and shinnanigans at the U.P. Michigan state fair grounds on route 2. Albeit a tad chilly on the way up the weather was beautiful for us to ride and socialize. Our very own director and assistant director spent many hours working before and during the rally to make it the phenomenal time it was. Special thanks to Mike Koehs (pronounced: kays) for leading not one, but two rides to Bond Falls. Pictures are already going in to the galleries! For those of us that got a chance to ride on MI-35 we found some great hills and twistties!  Tony B. and his harem put in a lot of saddle time and was nice enough to let Road Captain Harold (Hulk) M. join him, on the condition that he B.Y.O.L. (bring your own lady), we will be sending Tony to some remedial training on sharing in the months to come! The entertainment was outstanding, and somewhere between 475 and 525 members participated in the parade where Dave and Kathie Shukwit carried the wolverine flag with pride. If I were to register any complaints, they would be that 1. I didn't win the Street Glide, and 2. The weekend went by way too fast! If anyone left early Sunday morning like Mike Koehs and myself, you may have run into those bitter sweet warm air pockets, bitter because your glasses and windshield instantly fogged up solid, sweet because the temperature jumped up about 15º while you passed through them. There was some patchy fog, and walls of gnats too, but thankfully Bambi wanted no part of Mike's deer whistle, or my exhaust. I hope that everyone is enjoying the new web site. If you have any questions, problems, or suggestions, as always you can email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
